Tips, techniques, and cautions that drinkers and bartenders can use to keep themselves and other safe (as well as a few common concerns that they probably don't need to worry about). Topics include allergens in drinks and other potentially harmful ingredients, like activated charcoal, grapefruit juice, and dry ice. We'll look at how to use fire safely (ideally sparingly) in cocktails; whether rhyming advice along the lines of "liquor before beer, you're in the clear" should be trusted; and things to do and avoid in order to continue to enjoy drinking for most of your adult life. Oh, and why the little bits of gold in Goldschläger will definitely not lacerate your esophagus!
