A small group of drinks survived the cocktail doldrums of the 20th century. Half of them are enshrined as classics; half have fallen by the wayside. We'll discuss the history of some endangered classics (Gimlet, Ward 8, Sidecar, Bronx), meet a few of the bartenders keeping them alive, and showcase several contemporary recipes that allow them to live to their full potential.
