Sean Finter is one of the most sought-after hospitality coaches in the world. He is the founder and CEO of Barmetrix, a consulting firm he founded that has worked with over 6,000 hospitality teams since he sold his bar and restaurant group in 2003. His client portfolio ranges from publicly traded international bar and restaurant groups to local award-winning craft bars.
In 2015 and 2016 Sean spoke in front of thousands of world’s best operators in over 30 cities and 8 countries as part of the Diageo/Barmetrix Business of Bars program.
Starting out as a dishwasher at a Canadian truck-stop at the age of 12, Sean worked every back and front of house role available before departing the tiny town of Schomberg to travel the world. At 22 Sean found himself in London learning the ropes as a hospitality consultant with one of the UK’s most respected management consulting companies before eventually settling in Sydney, Australia where he opened his first bar/restaurant at the age of 28.
Sean’s unique talent is taking complex business problems and encourage hospitality leaders to act simply and decisively based on industry best-practice. He is a firm believer that a successful hospitality business must be both SMART (great systems) and HEALTHY (great culture).
