I was born in Detroit, MI, also known as the Motor City. I started cooking alongside my grandmother who trained in the base kitchen for Detroit Public Schools at the age of 9. I've always had a passion for cooking and putting a unique spin on classic dishes making them my own. In 2010 we moved our family to Texas for better opportunities and when the opportunity to start my own business knocked, I answered! I look forward to growing the KIS Kitchen brand into something so much more than a food truck.

Granny's potato salad was inspired in 2005 when the family got together for a home going celebration. We added granny smith apples for extra crunch and sweetness. This dish is made with potatoes, celery, hard boiled eggs, relish, granny smith apples and a whole lotta love!
