Jill is a 21 year industry vet. A two-time Diageo World Class Regional Finalist, and winner of the 2012 Bombay Sapphire MIB (Omaha market), she was the brand developer and managing partner for The Other Room in Lincoln Nebraska, Nebraska’s only James Beard nominated cocktail program. She is the co-owner of Rabbit & Turtle Beverage Corp., producer of Colonel Jesse’s Small Batch Tonic. She currently owns and operates Swordfish Tom’s, A pre-Prohibition style cocktail bar in the Crossroads Arts District of Kansas City. In conjunction with the bar, she also operates a custom ice program in the Kansas City market.
Jill has been a contributing freelance writer for Food & Spirits Magazine in Omaha, NE, and is currently working on a book to help aspiring bar owners better understand the mechanics of profitability in conjunction with hospitality.
